Criteria Completeness and Demonstration of Competency completion of skillbuilders competency (Weight 50%)

Poor [0-80) All skillbuilders have not+B8been completed. Tasks assigned within a skillbuilder are only partially completed, or the tasks have not been completed correctly (as described in the skillbuilder). Student is not able to perform the skills to be acquired.

Good [80-90) All skillbuilders have been completed. In general, all tasks assigned within a skillbuilder have been completed; tasks have been completed correctly. Student exhibits the ability to perform the skills to be acquired.

Excellent [90-100] All skillbuilders have been completed. All tasks assigned within a skillbuilder have been completed. Additional tasks have been undertaken to complement those assigned. Tasks have been completed correctly (as described in the skillbuilder). Student exhibits exceptional ability to perform the skills to be acquired. All skillbuilders are begun early in the week assigned and are completed by the end of the week that the skillbuilder is assigned. For group skillbuilders, student actively participated in the collaborative writing project, taking a leadership role in contributing to the design and development of the product and the organizational process. Submitted work was complete and of exceptional quality. Work was submitted on time, according to the deadlines defined by the group. APA is applied appropriately and correctly. Text submitted for the skillbuilder does not contain grammar, spelling, and/or English usage errors.

Timeliness of Completion

Majority of skillbuilders are begun and/or skillbuilder activities within completed after the week the week assigned that the skillbuilder is (Weight 20%) assigned.

Most skillbuilders are begun at the start/middle of the week assigned and are completed by the end of the week that the skillbuilder is assigned. For group skillbuilders, student generally participated on the collaborative writing project, contributing to the product and fulfilling the basic requirements of the writing project. Submitted work was complete and on time, according to the deadlines defined by the group.

Collaboration

For group skillbuilders, student did not fully participation participate on the collaborative writing collaborative effort (quality project, and contributed and quantity) only minimally (or not at all) to the collaborative (Weight 25%) process and/or product. Submitted work was incomplete, not on time, and/or group deadlines were not followed.

Technical application of APA or English usage errors (Weight 5%)

APA is not applied, or it is not applied correctly. Text submitted for the skillbuilder contains numerous grammar, spelling, and/or English usage errors.

APA is applied, but it is not always applied correctly. Text submitted for the skillbuilder does not contain grammar, spelling, and/or English usage errors.

Overriding criterion: Originality and authenticity. If a skill builder is identified as not being original and/or not done by the student, the instructor has the right to lower the final skill builder grade by 10% for each unoriginal skill builder submitted.
