com Cell: 123-123-3454 Office: 234-456-6768 FROM BROADWAY TO TURTLE BAY, THEATER SOCIETY TO PERFORM EVITA TURTLE BAY, Ill. - - Evita, the Broadway hit rock-opera, will be performed by the Turtle Bay Theater Society at the Hale Hall Theater Center, beginning Thursday, Dec. 3. Ten regular performances will be presented for two weeks on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with a special preview on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased beginning Oct. 6, Tuesday through Saturday at the Hale Hall Theater Center box office309-333-9900- between 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $10 each. The musical is based on the story of Eva Peron, the wife of Argentine dictator Juan Peron, and her journey from the lower class to becoming the spirit of the new Argentina. Laura Jensen, who played Conegonde in last years Candide, will play the title role. Che, the lead male role, will be played by Harold Stein. Jack Wedgewood, will play Juan Peron. The Turtle Bay Chamber Ensemble will perform the music for the rock-opera, which was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics written by Tim Rice. Director, Professor Dale Levenson, is confident his cast will put on a solid performance. Im most excited for the audience to experience Lauras rendition of Dont Cry for Me, Argentina. She does an outstanding job, said Levenson.
