Career Goal
On August, 26, 2012 I completed MS in Medical Informatics course at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. This course has given me in-depth knowledge of medical informatics through various course work and team projects and laid a strong foundation to pursue my interest in the field of medical informatics. I am a physician in Internal medicine transitioning over to clinical informatics. Few years ago I was introduced to Electronic Health Record. It fascinated and intrigued me as to how a well-designed, user friendly EHR can help improve quality of medical care. My interest grew and I decided to pursue Masters Program in Medical Informatics. My goal is to contribute to all aspect of developing the state of the art Electronic Health Record, implementing and demonstrating to the clinicians and health organization how to use it efficiently to improve the quality of healthcare. I strongly believe that Health Information Technology can improve efficiency, quality and cost of healthcare.
