METHOD STATEMENT FOR RETAINING WALL

ACTIVITY Stage 1 1.1 : Survey Works

Carry out survey earthworks to identify proper position/level of R.C wall. : Excavation

Stage 2 2.1 2.2

Excavation to the level required. Protect slope from falling. : Lean Concrete

Stage 3 3.1

Lay 50mm thick lean concrete. : Placement of formwork

Stage 4 4.1

Placement of formwork for footing. : Placement of reinforcement

Stage 5 4.2 4.3

Placement of reinforcement in the formwork and tied up properly. Install weepholes at specified locations : Concreting works

Stage 6 4.4 4.5

Pour concrete to footing. Vibrating concrete in footing : Backfilling and compact earth

Backfill and spread the soil using selected backfill Compact the soil in layers of 0.3m thick : Placement of formwork for wall
