- General office tasks such as answering phones, sorting incoming mail, taking messages, etc. o August 2011 May 2012 - Graduate Assistant at Western Kentucky University; Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology - Aided in the restoration and preservation of an early 19th-century Hall and Parlor house in Northtown, Kentucky, United States. Projects included, but are not limited to: plastering and repairing walls; replacing support beams and repairing foundation; properly removing lead paint from ceilings and applying new, linseed oilbased paint; everyday maintenance (i.e. mowing; cleaning), and communicated with and managed community members interested funding and aiding the project. I also supervised a total of 39 undergraduate and graduate students required by their classes to work at the house. As a supervisor I managed their schedules, delegated tasks, provided basic instruction and enforced rules, demonstrated and taught proper technique, and efficiently and effectively handled conflicts that may have risen. As the Neuromuscular Clinic Coordinator, when an outside physician referred to one of our neuromuscular doctors, I was in charge of being sure the records were sent to the Department Head for review, and once they were looked over, the records were sent back to me. Assisted with two archaeological excavations at Bells Tavern in Park City, Kentucky Grave site documentation and recording 1999 to present Restoration specialist and preservationist for Three Forks Preservation. 1999 to present Laborer for Preston Knob Hardwood Flooring. I help install and repair hardwood floors of various types and materials and assist with cutting and laying tile. Director, set designer and builder, sound designer, prop specialist for numerous university and professional theatre productions. Assisted the Mayor of Park City, Kentucky in planning the Bells Tavern Heritage Festival in Park City, Kentucky from 2001 to 2006 and 2010, as well as helping to book craft and food vendors and performers. Volunteered for Bob Gates, the Folklife Program Director at the Kentucky Historical Society, at the Horse Cave Festival in Horse Cave, Kentucky in 2011. Here, I operated the soundboard for the narrative stages, acted as the videographer for narrative stage performances, and set up exhibits. Volunteered as a donation collector at the National Folk Festival in Nashville, Tennessee in September 2011. Nominated a 19th-century dwelling to be added to National Register of Historic Places.
