Hospitality ~ Love of God

SEWING
Memory Verse: Psalm 18:1-2 I love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 1. Memorize the Scripture verse. 2. Commit to saying your morning offering and/or the Act of Love every morning as an act of love for God. 3. Read the Literature Example from Jos Boys by Louisa May Alcott. Discuss the questions with your family. 4. Practice threading your sewing machine at home and sewing seams on scrap fabric or paper. Review the handout on the topic of threading a machine if you do not have a sewing machine at home. 5. Reflect on the reading, A Bit about the Humble Apron. What version of apron would you desire? Design your own apron and include your design in your Hospitality Binder under the sewing section. 6. God requires that we should love Him, and seek to serve Him faithfully. He requires this especially of the young. Read Ecclesiastes 12:1. Reflect on how you are currently loving God and serving Him faithfully? In what areas could you improve? Get insight from your loved ones on how you could better love and serve Him. Make a firm commitment to work on loving God this month. 7. We must do more than speak about our love of God, we must put it into action. Read 1 John 3:18. List how can you better learn and live out His Holy Will for you. Make a visit this month to Our Blessed Lord in Adoration, ask for His grace to strengthen you. 7. Every flower has a root, a stem, a blossom: this last is the fairest of the three. And it is just the same with the glorious flower which the three theological virtues combine to form. From the root, which is faith, springs the stem, which is hope, and the lovely flower of charity crowns them both. Read 1 Cor 13:2. Share the coloring page of the Theological Virtue Flower with a younger sibling. _______________________ Date of Completion
