WCPD JOB DECRIPTION

1. RECEIVES, RECORDS, RESPONDS AND RENDERS REPORTS REGARDING ABUSES OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN AD OTHER GENDER-BASED CRIMES. 2. ENFORCES THE LAW FOR THE PROTECTION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN FROM ABUSE, EXPLOITATION, DISCRIMINATION AND NEGLECT, INCLUDING THOSE CASES INVOLVING CHILDREN IN CONFLICT WITH THE LAW. 3. INVESTIGATES CASES INVOLVING WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO FALL VICTIM TO PHYSICAL/SEXUAL AND OTHER GENDE-BASED CRIMES. 4. PARTICIPATES IN THE LEGAL AND JUDICIAL PROCESS OF ADDRESSING CASES OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN WITH THE PURPOSE OF SERVING THE ENDS OF JUSTICE FOR THE VICTIMS. 5. COORDINATES WITH OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY IN PURSUING AN INTERDISCIPLINARY AND MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL RESPONSE TO THE RIGHTS AND NEEDS OF VICTIMS OF ABUSE AND VIOLENCE. 6. INITIATES CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAMS AIMED AT REDUCING AND ELIMINATING THE VICTIMIZATION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN AT HOME, IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, IN THE WORKPLACE AND IN THE SOCIETY. 7. EXTENDS NECESSARY ASSISTANCE TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION. 8. CONDUCTS PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES RELATED TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN PROTECTION. 9. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE DIRECTED.
