joined from the Hebrew; "cha^bar" is literally to JOIN or couple together.

Figuratively it means charmed or to be in league with, to have fellowship with. Some are charmed into false worship by false brethren. ........... "Joined" is a different word in 1 Cor. 6:16 But he that is *joined* (G2853) unto the Lord is one spirit. (1Cor. 6:17) This Greek word; "Kollao" means to be glued to, or to cleave to, or to keep comp any with. We "stick" to the LORD .... ............ however in Hosea 4:17 "Joined" means to fascinate...1. To bewitch; to enchant; t o operate on by some powerful or irresistible influence; to influence the passio ns or affections in an incontrollable manner. None of the affections have been noted to fascinate and bewitch, but love and en vy. 2. To charm; to captivate; to excite and allure irresistible or powerfully. The young are fascinated by love; female beauty fascinates the unguarded youth; gami ng is a fascinating vice. charmed (even by means of spells) to couple together, to have fellowship with, t o heap up, to be in league with. When Christ talks about a man and woman are married, they shall be one flesh..." joined"...what God hath "joined" together ...this is a different Greek word, (su zeugnumi) meaning to yoke up with, to conjoin. And yet another word used in the Hebrew, (Gen. 29:34) translated "Joined" in the english (la^va^h) meaning to twine, to unit, as a form of obligation, and to l end or to be the lender. "And she (Leah) conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was hi s name called Levi." (Gen 29:34) Levi...meaning to attach. So Leah thought she could cause Jacob to love her and entwine herself to his heart. Joined in the way I am concerned with today has to do with the enchantments and charms of some of todays evangelist. Many are "joined" to congregations because of the light of the evangelist and not because of of the True Light of Jesus Ch rist. I am not referring to "joined" in the sense of married to, or even attached to a s in a sense of love as Leah desired from Jacob. I mean many are today "joined" to a church, because of the bewitchment of the ch arming pastor or preacher. Not in the truth of Jesus Christ, but in the traditi ons of man.
