FIELD AUDITING-2011 USING GPS I have discussed with all Zonal Managers.

After reviewing all possibilities, the following are the practical resolutions: 1. If GPS cannot be changed and we have to use the GPS 72H we agreed with IT Manager he shall be receiving and downloading the tracks for fields auditors who comes to the office. Zonal Managers shall be the first point of downloading tracks. 2. Field Auditors doesnt know the location of farms, so CPAs needs to accompany them to the field and at this case motor bike are of paramount importance to Field Auditors. 3. After reviewing use of vehicles: It is not a good option because farm locations are located far apart and most farms their locations is far interior where cars cant go. And this shall interfere with other office daily operations. 4. Zonal Managers shall handle their respective Field Auditors and results shall be higher than when all are centralized in one place. 5. I would suggest if possible the OLAM should buy more GPS especially the ones which can save more than 20 tracks and accept memory card. 6. For the time being because of importance of marking the farm units before marketing we can engage the new National Service Personnels who are posted as CPAs to assist in field marking if more GPS can be available. 7. The old Field Auditors could be assigned or contracted to help in this vital exercise. Please look at GPS 62S and GPS MAP 78S as possible future GPS options for recording large acreages, accepts memory cards and AA batteries. List attached Thanks Stephen
