Students are to work in groups of 2-3. They are required to read all the materials provided in Topic One. These readings will give them an idea on what knowledge base which outlines childrens development patterns in critical areas, such as phonological and print awareness. It also serves as a resource for designing early literacy programmes and specific instructional practices. In groups, the students are to creatively produce a book for preschoolers (e.g. books on short stories, phonics, alphabets, vocabulary etc.), inclusive of necessary content and early dispositions in early literacy.

Quizzes Individually, the students are required to answer the quiz questions which are posted online within the specific duration given.

Final Exam There will be four questions to be answered in essay form. The questions will be based on the materials provided via e-learning.
