Step 3
Find the wireless receiver (2) in the base and slide the power switch to the ON position. Please do not, at any time, remove the wireless receiver from the base.

Step 5
Remove the Pano Optic case (5) from the lid. Unlock the case by turning the lock ring clockwise to line up the marks. Open the case and carefully remove the Pano Optic.

Step 6
Unscrew (counterclockwise) the 67mm mounting ring (6) located at the bottom of the Pano Optic and put it aside; you will need it in Step 7. Route the Pano Optics USB cable through the mounting pole ring on the lab stand. Carefully situate the base of the Pano Optic onto the mounting pole ring.

Step 7
Find the threaded 67mm mounting ring. Route the ring (printed text right-side up) up the USB cable to the underside of the Pano Optic. Securely thread the locking ring, clockwise, to the base of the Pano Optic. The Pano Optic should now be securely fastened to the mounting pole.
(Tip: You may find it easier to thread the mounting ring if you support the Pano Optic and lab stand horizontally on the desk.)

Step 8
Remove the Board Cam (7) from the lid. Straighten the Board Cams flexible mount to a vertical (90-degree) position and situate it at the top of the mounting pole. Wrap the Velcro around the Board Cams (now vertical) mount. Use the attached clip to neatly route the Board Cams USB cable down the mounting pole.

(Tip: Now is a great time to gently clean the Pano Optic glass and mirror with the included lens cloth [13].)

Step 10
Remove the laptops power adapter (9) from the lid. again, tilt the back of the laptop up, revealing the circular power port at the back-left corner. Plug the power cord into the laptop, then find an outlet for the adapter.

You are now done with the lid! Consider storing it to make room around your capture area.

Step 11
Remove the desk microphone (8) from the base and slide the power switch to the ON position.

Step 12
Find and press the front latch of the laptop and open the screen. Once the screen is open, turn on the laptop by pressing the button in the upper-right corner.
