MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES
With over 150 in-house roll sets, we can produce a wide range of standard profiles.
Technical information Bespoke products can be supplied within the following limits: 1325mm coil width and up to 1.5mm thick 650mm coil width and up to 7.5mm thick Tolerance on profile dimensions are generally +/-0.4mm; custom tolerances can be agreed for certain requirements There are virtually no length restrictions Tata Steel cold formed sections are quality assured to ISO 9002 Sections can be 100% recycled
Tolerance Specification All dimensions in mm. Tolerance (unless otherwise stated): Profile 2 Angular 2 Straightness Length/600 Twist 1 per metre length Internal radii - typically 1.5t 0.5 Where t = material gauge thickness (mm) All angles 90 The profile dimensions and angular accuracy shall be measured at a point not less than 150mm from the end of the section. As a general rule, gross (unreduced) section properties are shown for the major (X) axis only as shown in the illustration below. Other section properties are available on request.

Manufacturing Capability Most C type or Z type sections can be manufactured in a range of coated or uncoated steel grades to suit your application. If batch galvanising is required, we can undertake this on your behalf in accordance with BS EN 1461. Take a look at the line drawings and the Manufacturing Capabilities table below for an indication of the sections that can be manufactured.
