Follow the checklist 1.)doctor tells you that you need surgery 2.)2nd and 3rd opinion tell your doctor that there are many others who live to one hundred and ten years in the world. 3.)at home, scheduled for surgery 3.1)do NOT wash your hands with antibiotic soap This makes the germs more resistant. wash your hands with a bit of salt and regular soap 3.2)cover your toothbrush in the bathroom When you flush the toilet, it sprays water and fecal matter all over. Would you rinse your mouth in the toilet bowl? 3.3)do NOT have dental cleaning, which opens your membranes to germs. 3.4)if you have enough time to heal, shave most areas of hair. If you don't shave, the hospital shaves and cuts you. Echinea, silver colloidals, 3.7)request from your doctor that general antibiotics be given right before surgery. 3.8)request blood banking from family and friends. Avoid unknown, stranger blood transfusions. Warning: this is a joke. If JOKINGLY you can't get blood from fellow Unitarians, then the Methodists' blood is preferred 3.9)ask your surgeon about plan to prevent blood clot formation. Many surgeries are successful. A blood clot forms causing a stroke. You are paralyzed, in pain and require lifetime care. You go bankrupt because insurance does not pay. Your family suffers because of your blood clot. Your surgeon become rich. 3.10)olive oil; suck on lemons every meal. Boost your clotting factor K, etc. 3.11)Ask intelligent questions, after you understand the entire process and procedures. Doctors tend to be more careful, if you ask questions, instead of the look of paralysis and fear.
4.)at the hospital, preparing for surgery
4.1)make a few jokes to the nurses. They pay more attention, if they enjoy your company. 4.2)ask the surgeon to mark the surgical site in front of you. What a shame, they cut off the GOOD LEG. 4.2)Speak up if you sense something is wrong. Rely on the higher power, God and your intuition. 4.3)Ask anyone to examine you to wash their hands. 4.4.)Ask the doctor or nurse to clean the stethoscope BEFORE they examine you. The hospital dangerous germs are spread on your skin. Surgeon cuts you and allows germs inside. Pain results after about 1-2 weeks. 4.5)Before they put in the central I.V. line, ask if they have tubes that are antibiotic coated. 5.)at the hospital bed, recovering

5.)at the hospital, extended stay.
5.1)Bedsores can lead to slow death. Change position every two hours or ask the nurses to move you. 5.2)carry a portable extension mirror. check to see signs of redness or sores on the skin. These are early signs of bedsores, and even blood poisoning. 5.3)keep the skin as dry as possible 5.4)keep moving. Just tensing and relaxing muscles keeps the blood moving. 5.5)request special mattresses and pressure reducing devices.
6.)at home AFTER the hospital
6.1)many medications have side effects of dizziness. You fall, you break your hip and then it may be SLOW DEATH. But, the surgery was a success according to the numbers. 6.2)use a temporary cane if needed. 6.3)exercise, sunlight and physical therapy including tai chi, yoga. 6.4)prayer, meditation, intend HEALING, visualization 6.5)request follow up tests 6.6)compare before and after photos Make a careful self-examination. Why are there strange red marks on the skin that were NOT there before? You known yourself best. 6.7)emphasize healing foods like oil oil, fresh, raw coconut, raw lemons, etc. 6.8)resolve to make a change.
