If the artwork is meant to express an emotion, it can also be used to express joy and show how fun is in the opinion of the artist. Such is the case in the following artworks. For centuries, art has also been used to portray beauty. Whether on a small or large scale, artworks of beauty have the purpose to impress the viewers. Typically, artworks that have the purpose to display beauty are done so in a way that represents the accepted conventions of what beauty is seen to be. Such is the case in the artworks of the Renaissance as many works of the time period focused on the beauty of the human body. However, there may be people who may have different ideas of what they see as beauty and represent their ideas in different artworks.
