    How Your Piano Works


    A Steinway Educators Partnership Program
    There are over 12,000 parts in a grand piano so its understandable that most pianists dont know much about how their instrument works or what every piano needs in order to play properly. Do soundboard cracks ruin my piano? Why doesnt my piano stay in tune or why cant it be tuned? How good a piano does my student really need? How does a single piano project its sound without a microphone into a 3,000 seat auditorium over a 75 piece orchestra? Bring all your piano questions for Ted Good of Steinway Hall and Mark Shengle, Concert Piano Technician for the Canton Symphony Orchestra as they present this free educational event organized by the Stark County Music Teachers Association and Sempre Piano School.
