IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
While using the Prestige Induction Cook-top, the following basic precautions should always be followed: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Read all instructions. Before using the Induction Cook-top, please check that the mains voltage corresponds to the one shown on the appliances specification sticker. Do not use the Induction Cook-top and other large-power electric appliances at the same time from the same power source. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse Cook-top, cord, plug in water or other liquid. Please keep the Induction Cook-top away from children. Close supervision by an adult is necessary when the appliance is being used by children.

Do not leave the appliance in operation unattended. Do not use the cook-top in high temperature environment. The water remains at the bottom of the vessel must be removed before using. Else the boiled water drops may splash and scald the user when the bottom of the vessel is heated. Leave atleast 10cms gap from the wall on all the sides to ensure proper ventilation while the appliance is in operation. Do not place paper or cloth etc. beneath the cook-top to prevent the risk of over heating and malfunctioning.

Remove plug from the mains before cleaning and when not in use. Once cooking is completed, allow the appliance to cool down completely before moving it or before cleaning. 2

Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Get the appliance to the nearest Regional Service Centre / Authorized Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment.

Place the appliance on a flat surface. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot surface. Do not place the appliance on any hot surface or beside fire or another electrical appliance or near gas stove. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. Never pull the cord. Do not heat empty vessel. If the cooked food is burnt, do not remove the vessel immediately. Switch off the power, allow the vessel to cool and then remove it. Do not move the Induction Cook-top with vessel on top of it.

Metal objects such as Knives, forks,spoons and lids should not be placed on the surface of glass panel, as they may become hot.

HOW TO USE YOUR PRESTIGE INDUCTION COOK-TOP (PIC 6.0)


1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) Please place the Cook-Top in well ventilated area on a flat platform. Do not place the Induction Cook-Top on any metal surface or near heat or fire source. Insert the plug into the 15 amps wall socket. The induction cook top works on 230 volts AC, 50 Hz supply. Please ensure that the input power supply matches with this. Place the vessel containing food in the centre of the black glass panel. Do not place/move the vessel on the control panel. Press ON/OFF button to switch on the cook top. Now press the Function button to select the desired program. If you hear any screeching noise while using, slightly move the vessel, so that it lies in the centre of the glass panel. When the timer function is not set, the induction cook-top will heat continuously/ as per the preset duration for each mode. When you need to adjust the timer, press the TIMER button. Once the display starts blinking you can adjust / set the timing by pressing + / - button. Once the required time is set, the display will blink for 4 times before becoming stable and the timer will start. Once the induction cook-top works for the time mentioned, it will stop heating and will switch off automatically. Each function has different default timer and minimum and maximum adjustable time limits as per the table given below. FUNCTION Button: You can select different cooking modes by pressing the function button a) Hot Pot Mode: This is the most common mode used for all kinds of cooking. It will start with the default wattage of 1600 watts. You can increase/decrease the power / timer by pressing the + / - based on your needs. The heating power/timer is adjustable in this mode, while the appliance is in operation. If the vessel is dried out during operation, the induction cook-top will switch off automatically. Fry Mode: Applicable for high-temperature cooking, like frying and deep frying. The heating power/timer is adjustable in this mode, while the appliance is in operation. It will start with the default wattage of 1800 watts. You can adjust the power/timer by pressing the + / - button based on your needs. Once the set temperature is reached, the induction cook top will stop and heat intermittently to maintain the temperature. 8

Boil Mode: This mode is best suitable for boiling water. It has a default wattage of 2000 watts. You can adjust the power/temperature by pressing the + / - button based on your needs. Soup Mode : This mode is ideal for making soup. The default wattage is 1300 watts. The wattage is variable but after 2 minutes, the cook top will automatically change to 1600 watts. Keep Warm Mode : The Keep warm mode is suitable for food which have the requirement of temperature to be maintained. Under this mode, the induction will control the power to adjust the temperature. The default wattage will be 120 watts which is not adjustable. Saute Mode : This mode is recommended for your saute requirements. The default wattage is 1600 watts. The wattage is variable but after 5 minutes, the cook top will automatically change to 1300 watts. Stir Fry Mode : This mode is suitable for quick heating required for seasoning. The default wattage is 2000 watts which is variable.

CHILD LOCK Mode:

The Child lock mode enables you to work safely when the children are around. You can select the child lock function by pressing + and - buttons simultaneously. In this mode all other buttons except ON/OFF button get locked. To release the lock press + and - buttons simultaneously once again.

PAUSE Mode :

Press the Pause button to stop a program at any point of time without disturbing the set program/timer. To resume the program, please press the Pause button once again.

SELECTION OF VESSELS
Vessels suitable for induction cook-top The product has the function of automatic vessel detection. In general condition, iron or stainless steel products with magnetic base and diameter between 11 cm and 26 cm and flat base vessels will have best cooking effect. Prestige recommends using Prestige Omega Deluxe non-stick induction base cookware. The Prestige stainless steel cookers with cladded base and Prestige Deluxe Plus Aluminum Cookers with Induction friendly perforated plate will work efficiently with Prestige Induction Cook-Tops. MAINTENANCE & CLEANING


1. Please switch off the power and remove the plug from wall outlet.

Before cleaning, make sure that the appliance is cool. Do not clean the appliance when it is hot. Clean the cooktop and the control panel with damp cloth.

Do not wash the induction cook-top in running water. Do not immerse the induction cook -top in water.

To clean the black glass panel, first wipe it with a wet cloth. Then wipe it with sponge using mild detergent and finally wipe it to dry with soft cloth.

WARRANTY
Prestige (hereinafter referred to as the Company) warrants to the purchaser of Prestige Induction Cook Top - PIC 6.0, {hereinafter referred to as Induction Cook-top} that the said Induction Cook-top is free from all defects in material and workmanship. The company shall make all endeavours/attempts to carry out the Service/Replacement under this warranty at the earliest, but shall not be liable to do so within any specified time. The Prestige Induction Cook-top shall be used strictly for domestic purposes in accordance with the users manual. The Company shall not be responsible for any special consequential damages or loss arising directly or indirectly for any delay in the performance of this warranty. The Company reserves the right to retain any part or component at the Regional Service Centre/branches or Authorized Service Centre or at its workshop and shall effect Repairs/Replacement or parts or components at its sole discretion. All repairs within the 1 year product warranty (arising out of manufacturing defects) will be done free of charge. Our service centres will not charge you for those specific components and labour. This Warranty shall not in any case extend towards payment or any monetary consideration whatsoever, and shall be only limited to the product replacement. Any complain/disputes shall be within the jurisdiction of the Courts of Bangalore. Electrical appliances, wire points need regular check up by an authorized service person. Electrical appliances are prone to voltage fluctuation risks, therefore precaution should be taken before use. Company shall not be responsible for any damage to electrical parts, viz. coil, motor etc. arising out of this problem. The decision of the company is final in all cases of complaints.
