To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to recommend Preston Grover for entrance to and scholarships for theatre studies at the university level. Preston is a young man with a rare blend of incredible talent and extreme humility. Preston worked with me for many years as a student in the Skyview Theatre and Choral Departments where he excelled not only in stage performance, but also in social leadership. He has a wonderful way of making his fellow ensemble and cast members feel comfortable and at home while fulfilling his role with panache. Preston is a very driven young man that sets goals for himself and then works to achieve those goals for the benefit of everyone in the group. He knows his lines, songs, and dance steps before anyone else in the cast, and he helps others to know their part of the show. He was an indispensable part of many of my shows, and I would jump at the chance to work with him again. In addition to theatre and choir, Preston was also very active in the Skyview Band Department, where he served as drum major and band leader. He also is dedicated to his family and his religious studies and beliefs, giving him many opportunities to show personal dedication and growth. Please consider Preston for a position in the Theatre Department of your school. He will be an excellent asset as he learns and develops his theatrical skills.
