The human condition is the vast, indefinite and multifaceted study of, quite simply, what it means to be human.

The study concentrates on what are the defining features of humans in a social, cultural and personal context, where race and gender is irrelevant. The human condition is vague as it can be viewed in different states, and has both positives and negatives because it can cause great joy whilst also being capable of triggering despair and pain. Because of the Janice-faced characteristic of the human condition, it can be considered to be a paradox.
