X. Symptomatology Basic A lump or thickening in an area of the breast. A Change in the size or shaped of the breast.

Rationale The lump is caused by the neoplasm that formed in the area of the breast A breast can become smaler if a cancer is pulling the skin in and shortening the ducts. Dimpling, may indicate the presence of tumor that is blocking the lymph and causing fluid accumulation under the skin. A change in the shape of the nipple, particularly if it turns in sinks into the breast or becomes irregular in shape. A blood stained discharge from nipple A rash on a nipple or surrounding area. A swelling or lump in the armpit Absent Present Absent The neoplasm affects one or more breast ducts. An inflammatory response to cancer. The lump was focused on the upper outer quadrant of the left breast. Absent The growth on the breast pulls the nipple inward.
