BE IT REMEMBERED, at a regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, Texas, held

_________________________ , the following Order was adopted:
WHEREAS, the Office of Budget and Evaluation briefed the Commissioners Court on February 19,
2013 regarding the reorganization of the Sheriff Personnel Division;
WHEREAS, the reorganization includes the addition of two (2) full time Detention Service Officers and
one (1) Human Resources Technician (Grade 8) in lieu of two (2) detached Detention
Service Officers and one (1) detached Clerk 1. The detached Clerk I position (#6166) will
be deleted from the Sheriff Intake-Release division;
WHEREAS, the total annual salary and benefits for both DSO positions is approximately $109,474 and
total annual salary and benefits for the Human Resources Technician is approximately
$47,062;
WHEREAS, funding for the additional positions was approved as part of the FY2013 Budget and has no
additional impact on the General Fund.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED that the Dallas County
Commissioners Court hereby authorize the addition of two (2) full time Detention Service Officers and one
(1) Human Resources Technician (Grade 8) to the Sheriffs Personnel Division, with the Human
Resources/Civil Service Department reviewing the classification of the positions; and the deletion of one
(1) Clerk I position from the Sheriff Intake Release Division.
