In your neighborhood
You can help prevent the significant increase of copper wire thefts occurring in the Citys street lighting system. This has caused a number of streetlights not to function for a period of time. Call 9-1-1 immediately if you observe a wire theft in progress or see any suspicious activity around city streetlights.

WHAT TO NOTE IF YOU SEE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY:

IS THERE A YELLOW STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE VEHICLE ON THE STREET? The vehicle has a city seal, the words Street Lighting on the driver and passenger doors and the word Exempt on its license plate. IS THERE STREET LIGHTING STAFF WORKING ON A STREETLIGHT? They can be identified by their orange vest, hard hat and city identification.
The Bureau of Street Lighting has contractors who install new lighting. The names of these companies would be identified on their vehicles.

DE COBRE DEL ALUMBRADO PBLICO EN SU VECINDARIO

USTED puede ayudar a prevenir el incremento significativo en el robo de cables de cobre del servicio de alumbrado pblico. Este vandalismo ha ocasionado que decenas de luces no estn funcionando por cierto perodo de tiempo. Por favor comunquese inmediatamente al 9-1-1 si observa que alguien roba los cables de cobre o si nota cualquier actividad sospechosa cerca de una luz del servicio de alumbrado pblico.

Los empleados se identifican por llevar un chaleco color naranja, un casco y una tarjeta de identificacin de City of Los Angeles. La Agencia de Alumbrado Pblico dispone de contratistas encargados de instalar nuevos sistemas de alumbrado en los diferentes sectores de la ciudad. Los nombres de estas compaas deben ser fciles de identificar en los respectivos vehculos
