    1) The percussion ensemble has a stage rehearsal on March 5th at Riverside Middle School from 6-8:15PM to prepare for a competition at URI on March 9th. Volunteers are needed to help move equipment. 2) On March 27th, the ensemble will have a benefit concert at Riverside Middle School from 7-8PM. Players should arrive at 6:30PM and wear all black outfits. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students. 3) The competition at URI will be on March 9th. Players should arrive by 12:30PM and the competition runs from 1-4/5PM. Carpooling is available as there is no bus.

    PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE : 2013 MARCH SCHEDULE:

    1) Tuesday, March 5, 6:00PM-8:15PM: Riverside Middle School Stage Rehearsal: Please make every effort to attend this rehearsal as it is the stage rehearsal before URI as we are competing in the high school trophy division this year. I may likely need volunteers to help move some equipment to Riverside beforehand. Wear regular clothes for rehearsal. This rehearsal is for BOTH the Riverside Percussion ensemble and the Community PE. This is not a concert night the benefit concert has been moved to March 27 2) Wednesday, March 27; 6:30PM Riverside Middle School..Benefit PE Concert for RMS Band: Players arrive by 6:30PM for setup. Students must have all black performance outfits. Adults :$3.00 Students: $2.00 Please help with promotion of this event. Concert time is 7-8PM. Equipment will need to be moved back to store after concert. . ** 3) Saturday March 9, URI PAS Festival: Please make every effort to be at URI by 12:30PM. The PE Competition starts at 1:00PM. (Only exceptions are SAT test takers). There is no bus this year so please make plans accordingly. Expect about 1 hour drive to Kingston. Carpooling arrangements are welcome. The URI Festival should be done somewhere between 4:00-5:00PM. Community PE students should have usual black outfits (Riverside PE also needs white shirts), sheet music sticks and mallets. I may likely need volunteers to help move some equipment to URI. Driving Directions to Riverside Middle School:
    Riverside Middle School: 179 Forbes Street Cross route 6 onto Mink St and follow down to lights at Wampanoag Trail. Take left at lights and turn onto first right which is Forbes St. Riverside Middle school is on the left.

    Driving Directions to URI Kingston Campus: Fine Arts Center


    From the north, take I-95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4 South) in RHODE ISLAND, follow Route 4 to Route 1 South. Stay on Route 1 until the intersection of Route 138 West. Route 138 West will bring you to the University. From the south, take I-95 North to Exit 3A (Route 138 East). Continue east on Route 138 to the University. From Newport, follow Route 138 West over the Newport and Jamestown bridges to Route 1. Take Route 1 South to Route 138 West. Follow Route 138 West to the University.
