Books: Duffy, James P., and Vincent L. Ricci. Czars: Russia's Rulers for over One Thousand Years. New York: Barnes & Noble, 2002. Print. This source is a compiled work of Russia's tsars for over one thousand years. The last section of the book was about Tsar Nicholas II, the last tsar of Imperial Russia, and explained the events leading up to the empire's downfall. Jennings, Peter, and Todd Brewster. This book contained important events that took place during the last century throughout the world. An article on the Russian Revolution gave me a glimpse into the conditions for the people of Russia, and helped me to understand the discontent they were feeling during Tsar Nicholas II's reign. This book is filled with information on Europe from the Renaissance to the present. A few articles briefly explained the main events of both revolutions. Palmer, R. R., and Joel Colton. A History of the Modern World. New York: Knopf, 1965. Print. This book gives information on major events throughout the world that impact the modern world we live in today. Multiple chapters and articles were helpful by giving simplified details and main events of the revolutions. Pomper, Philip. Lenin's Brother: The Origins of the October Revolution. New York: W.W. Norton &, 2010. Print. This source is about Lenin's life before the revolutions, and how his brother's involvement with revolutionist groups influenced young Lenin. Von, Laue Theodore H. Why Lenin? Why Stalin? N.p.: n.p., 1971. Print. This book holds information on the events previous to, during, and following the revolutions. This website had Tsar Nicholas IIs abdication proclamation document, along with the translated version, which gave me a primary source and helped me explain the fall of Imperial Russia. "Bloody Sunday." History in an Hour. N.p., n.d. Web. 5 Dec. 2012. <http://www.historyinanhour.com/>. This source holds information on Bloody Sunday, one of the many demonstrations that occurred throughout Nicholas IIs rule, and provided primary pictures of the event and people involved.
