Problem Definition The Application is to develop a well-known logic puzzle mathematic SUDOKU.

As shown in the sample image below:

Sample Image The Application need to address three issues: 1. Create a SUDOKU. Automatic distribution of digits (1-9) in all nine grids. A digit can be repeated in any number of grids and randomly selected. Each grid (having 9 cells) cannot have more than 5 cell filled with digits. Each grid must be having at least one digit. (Caution: No row and column should have the same digit repeated.) 2. Play the SUDOKU. The user (Player) of the application(SUDOKU) has to fill all the blank cells with digits keeping in mind that the same single digit may not appear twice in the same 99 playing board row or column or in any of the nine 33 sub-regions (grid) of the 99 playing board. Application should not allow wrong entry into any cell (the system should beep). 3. As soon as the user fills the last blank cell legitimately, the application should respond that he/ she is the winner. The objective is to fill a 99 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 33 sub-grids that compose the grid contain all of the digits from 1 to 9. The puzzle setter provides a partially completed grid, which typically has a unique solution. Rules: 1. Time allowed is 24 Hrs. 2. Source Code & Complied coed must be E-mailed at cvcsd@apjimtc.org latest by 15 Feb 2013 (11:00 A.M.) 3. Team has to give presentation (Max 15 Mins.) in Seminar hall at 02:30 P.M. on 15 Feb, 2013. 4. Only those teams will be allowed to give presentation, those who had mailed the solution before 11:00 AM. On 15 Feb 2013.

5. 6. 7. 8.

Only C/ C++ is allowed for Software Development. Evaluation is done on the basis on memory allocation, logic, complexity, etc. Each step for solution have the weightage. For any further query, contact the undersigned:
