Ms. Drury's third grade class will be learning about compare and contrast in reading through the stories "Alejandro's Gift" and "The Living Desert", procedural writing through conferencing second drafts, math concepts about converting paces to feet, rocks and soil in science, and old and new communities in social studies. Students should read for 30 minutes each night and record it in their reading log. The weekly spelling words, vocabulary words from stories and anthology, and homework assignments are also listed.
