“Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they
are. Help us spend them as we should.”
Psalm 90:12
‘MABUHAY from The Philippines! I's been a litle over a
month since we arrived from the United States. Samantha
and | are finally getting settled in. We have moved back into
our apartment and we are being brave in facing Metro
Manila traffic every day!
We are so excited fo be here. God is doing amazing things
and opening up many doors for us. Right now, we have
open doors (and hearts!) with the Philippine Basketball
Association (PBA), schools, government offices and young
men + women who have expressed genuine desire to
know the Lord.
We are currently serving the local church (Victory Christian
Fellowship) here. We are currently experiencing a great
harvest but the workers are few. That is why we are more
than happy to help in reaching out fo the younger
generation, make disciples and impact the future of this
nation.
We had to start two new Saturday services (one in English
and one in Tagalog) fo try and accommodate more people:
We have reached maximum capacity in all of our Sunday
services.
We are now on the 4th week of our 1 Life fo Live outreach
series, Itis based on Kerry and Chris Shook’s book One
‘Month to Live.” if you haven't read it, we highly recommend
it! Ifyou hove, itis a great material to lead people to Christ
During this challenge, the big thing that sticks out for me is
realizing how much time | actually waste. Now | am
learning how to manage my time better and
maximixing it by approaching my life as if! have “one
month to live.”
Our outreach discipleship activities include our weekly
‘small groups, 1 Life to Live seminars, one-on-one
sessions and personal fellowship.
The outline of the lessons are:
UVE Passionately and Purposely - living each as ifit
were your last
LOVE Unconditionally - showing others that love
transcends and transforms
LEARN Humbly - growing through your problems and
pain
LEAVE Boldly - creating a legacy that will impact
generations
Ona more personal update, Samantha and |
celebrated our 2nd Year Anniversary February 24th)
‘ond her 33rd Birthday (February 25th). We would like fo
thank everyone who e-mailed, called, texted, sent
cards and gifts. Once again, you have reminded us
how deep the love Christ has for us!
Now that we have reached our second year of
marriage, we thought we would let you know that we
are ready fo start a family. Please stand with us in
prayer -- for God to bless Samantha's womb and we
will be blessed with a baby in the near future!Carried f0 Lom) elion
