Adair-Casey School Library Gifts and Donations Policy Responsibility of Accepting Gifts and Donated Materials: The Adair-Casey

Board of Education designates the professional staff of the library media center to make all decisions regarding the acceptance of gifts or other materials donated to the library media center. Criteria for Accepting Gifts and Donated Materials: The Adair-Casey School Library accepts gifts of books and other materials with the understanding that they will be added to the collection only if they are appropriate and needed. If the materials are not needed due to duplication or condition or contain dated information, the library media staff may dispose of the materials as they see fit. Gift and donated materials will be judged by the criteria outlined for the selection of library materials and will be accepted or rejected by those same criteria. Memorial gifts and gifts of money will also be accepted. The Adair-Casey School Library appreciates all gifts and donations.
