Frilles DICMT 1-1 Irregular Sirena and Partriarchal Society The song Sirena by Gloc9 tells about the life of a homosexual. We all know that homosexuality is not considered by our society. Many other countries had already allowed homosexual marriage but here, in the Philippines, two person with the same sex are not allowed to unite. We all know that God has created only man and women and because of this the church is trilled about homosexuality. And as for our Partriarchal society, homosexuality is very much disliked. In a Partriarchal world we belong to, it is widely acknowledged that men are more dominant than women and so, there comes the irony of homosexuality. People oppose homosexuality because they think its unnatural and against the laws of nature. Its true that homosexuality doesnt come naturally. Most of us believe that it is a sin against God. In a fairly orthodox angle, we can say that God didnt make man to be this way but in a modern point of view, can we really prove that? We only accept what we believe is natural but how can we say that homosexuality doesnt come naturally? We can never make sure how one becomes homosexual. It can be caused by early homosexual experiences with adults or with peers, by having homosexual friends around, by unsual development, poor relationship with father, unavailability of heterosexual partners, social ineptitude, or by simply being born that way.
