Demerit System

There are to be no cell phones, laptops, or wireless devices during rehearsal or backstage.

2. All cast and crew are to conduct themselves professionally backstage (This includes refraining for inappropriate touching and comments, no fighting, missing entrances or cues, chewing gum during rehearsals, anything that is not specified in the remainder of the rules but is considered unprofessional by the stage manager and director). 3. All cast must be ready to go at start time. All cast and crew must sign-n before call time upon arrival at the performance venue. If they are not in their seat and ready to go at starting time or not signed in at call time, they will be considered late and receive a demerit. If a member of the cast or crew is going to be late or absent and they do not confirm this with their stage manager and/or director they will be considered late or absent and will receive a demerit. 4. All cast and crew will treat all props, costumes, set pieces, dressing rooms, and rehearsal spaces with the utmost respect (This includes no smoking in costume, no food or drink in costume, no misplacing props, no leaving props or costumes in the floor of the dressing rooms, etc.). 5. There should be no chatting during rehearsals or just offstage during a show.

6. No one outside of the show is allowed backstage during tech week or productions. 7. All cast and crew are to arrive at rehearsals and productions prepared (This includes with pencil, script, paperwork, proper attire, etc.). 8. All cast and crew will participate in physical warm-ups when called to do so. All cast will participate in vocal warm-ups when called to do so. All cast members wearing mics will be onstage for mic check when they are called to do so. 9. Inappropriate language and sexual innuendoes are not acceptable in rehearsals or backstage during performances. Consequences: 1. After committing one infraction in any one category you will receive a verbal warning from your stage manager. 2. After a second infraction in any one category you will receive a verbal warning from your director. 3. 4. 5. After a third infraction in any one category you will be documented. After a forth infraction in any one category action will be taken by faculty. After five infractions in differentiating categories steps 1 and 2 will be skipped and you will automatically be documented. After a sixth infraction in differentiating categories action will be taken by faculty.
