Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Granite School District, Salt Lake City, Utah Aug. 2012-March 2013 Student Teaching Taught a 5th grade class of 28 ethnically diverse students. Including 4 resources, 1 ADHD at a title I school in Granite District. Working with a diverse population has helped me understand the concept of differentiating and adjusting my lessons so they can be appropriate for all of my students. Familiar with Go Math, Imagine It, Interconnections. During my student teaching I taught math using the GO Math program. I also worked with the Imagine It program to teach languages arts and used Interconnections to help build science and social studies lessons. Have been learning about Acuity testing. My fifth graders had to prepare for the Math Acuity and Language Arts Acuity test. I have seen the students test and understand the process of it. I also understand the role that a teacher plays in preparing their students for the Acuity tests. I have learned the process of grading students work, homework and test. I understand the process of entering grades in the system. I have done parent teacher conferences, both in English and Spanish. Familiar with DIBELS testing and how to conduct it. I have seen the process of DIBELS at my school and I have also conducted DIBELS at the Utah Reading Center. Successfully integrated subjects together.

Experience working with ELLs. I helped Ells on reading and phonics every morning. I helped with spelling, and vocabulary work. I brought in a lot of hands on, auditory and visuals to help my Ells.
