Follow these steps to create a simple PowerPoint presentation and then use your voice to narrate the presentation.
1. Research:
a. Continue to look for online articles (web articles, news articles, videos, etc) about your topic. b. Flickr Groups is an excellent tool for people to share their knowledge, ideas, and images for certain topics and issues. i. Go to http://www.flickr.com/groups/
ii. Search for a local group that matches your issue. For example, if your issue is Land Pollution, enter key words such as, Bangalore, Land Pollution, littering, etc. iii. If you cannot find a local group that relates to your issue, look for an international group. iv. You can use our classs log-in and password if you would like to add resources to the group. v. Find at least 3 images that relate to your issue. vi. Save them on your computer for later use. c. Make sure you post your links to your groups Only2Clicks tab (www.only2clicks.com/).
d. Continue to take notes about Problems, Causes, Action taken, and possible Action your group would take.
e. We created a free account for our class. See your teacher for log-in information. f. Click on Browse and watch a few tutorials or VoiceThread examples to get familiar with this program.
g. Click on Create h. Click on Upload My Computer. Find your PowerPoint file and upload it. Wait until it finished uploading.
Add a title for your VoiceThread. Follow the format of Exhibition 2012 -2013- [your groups issue] j. Now you will add your narration. Each member of your group has been responsible for certain parts of the presentation, and has written an essay for that part. So each member will record his/her voice for their part of the presentation. k. To do that, click on Comment. i.
Each member will add comments for his/her slide by clicking Comment. When you are ready, click Record. You will see OK. Start talking. That means you are ready to narrate. m. When you are done, click on Stop Recording. l.
n. Listen to your voice. If you are happy with it, click Save and move on to a different slide (you dont need to follow a chronological order).
