In Celebration of 2013 National Womens History Month

Feminist Leadership after Graduation

Presented by Erin Parrish, Executive Director of the Minnesota Womens Consortium

Wednesday, MARCH 27, 2013 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Voyageurs North, Atwood Memorial Center
This workshop will explore the claiming of feminist leadership as students move from university studies to the job market, including important questions about promoting themselves and justifying (selling) the value of womens studies and other progressive degrees. Also, how do students bridge theory to practice in a professional setting, and how does one prevent feminist burn-out? Although the focus in on students, others are invited and welcomed to attend!

Organized by the Womens Studies Program. Co-sponsored by the Womens Center and Womens Action Suggested reading before the workshop: Coalition Politics by Bernice Johnson Reagon and Feminist Leadership: Feminist Visions and Diverse Voices by Jean Lau Chin
