Elected, two-year term (option for one two-year renewal) The Volunteer Chair should be at least 18 years of age, Baptized, and a regular communicant, and should have an interest in the recruitment and recognition of Parish Volunteers

Position Requirements

Responsible to Liaison Person(s) Results Statement

Vestry, Corporation Rector, Parish Secretary, Stewardship Chair, all Vestry members and Volunteer leaders. The Volunteer Chair must for each activity (See below), to ensure there is a system in place for getting the job done, that someone doing the job, (or finding a replacement when required), reporting to Vestry on each assigned activity and communicating from Vestry to persons doing the activity. As such they are responsible for planning and operation of a successfbl volunteer program within the parish.

Duties Oversee

The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following The Volunteer Chair will oversee the advertisement and promotion of the Diocesan and/or Parish sponsored activities within the Parish; a) The recruitment of Parish volunteers b) The recognition of Parish volunteers

Communicate With The Volunteer Chair will provide communication between Vestry and the volunteers of the Parish. Other Related Duties

Attend and participate in meetings of Synod, in accordance with Canon 5 clause 62 (a) to (c). Attend and participate in Vestry in accordance with Canon 5 clause 63 (a) to (e).

Collective Vestry Responsibility

Diocesan Responsibilities

The incumbent is encouraged to seek appointment to diocesan committees. Approved by Special Congregational Mzeting 21 March 2000
