Job Description YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE TO VESTRY

Position

Elected by youth to Vestry and ratified by the Parish for one year.

Position Requirement The Youth Chair must be at least 16 years of age, baptized and must have been active in youth groups within St. Thomas' Church for at least two years. Responsible to Liaison Person(s) Results Statement

Corporation and Vestry Rector, Rector's Warden The Youth Chair will communicate information and promote youth programs as provided within the Parish and Diocese, and will bring forward to Vestry all youth concerns regarding Christian Education programmes and programming activities for the youth of the Parish. The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following: Parish: (from a youth perspective) a) Youth Alpha, Journey to Adulthood, Youth Leader Diocesan: (fiom a youth perspective) a) Anglican Youth Ministry b) Teens Encounter Christ c) Senior and Junior High Youth retreats d) Summer Camp opportunities

lfinvited by the Bishop, attend and participate in Synod as a Youth Delegate.

Collective Vestry Responsibility Attend and participate in Vestry in accordance with Canon (5) clause 63.(a) to (e) Diocesan Responsibilities Incumbent is encouraged to seek appointment to diocesan committees.
