1. Curriculum Standards Addressed: PKW1: Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and emergent writing to compose an opinion piece in which they tell a reader the topic of the name of the topic they are writing about and state an opinion or preference about the topic or book. PKW2: Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and emergent writing to compose informative explanation texts in which they name what they are writing about supplying some information about the topic PKSL3: Describe familiar people, places, things, and events, and with prompting and support, provide additional details. 2. Cross Curricular Connections: I will be incorporating drawing and coloring into the lesson. 3. Instructional Objective Criteria: Students will be able to identify the objects in the photo provide using nouns, adjectives, and verbs and successfully deciding a conclusion about the picture. 4. Assessment(s) of the Objectives: Pre-Assessment: My pre-assessment consisted of an observation of a labeling activity and watched what children participated and how they participated During Assessment: During the lesson, I will take anedoctal notes on who is participating and who says what during the lesson. After-Assessment: I will allow children to draw their own picture and allow them to tell me and label what is in their picture. 5. Materials: SmartBoard Various Pictures Charts for assessment Blank White Paper Markers, crayons, and colored pencils

6. Prerequisites (Prior Knowledge):

Students will need some knowledge of what the objects are in each picture to learn how to label and pick up clues to figure out what they subject is doing. 7. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Procedures: Introduce the picture to the class, and explain to them what you expect them to help you do Help children label the picture and guide them in looking at the little clues After the labeling, print out the picture to go over again in small group lesson Get a blank piece of paper and let children draw their own picture After they finish their drawing have them tell you what all is in their pictures. Record your results

8. Accommodations: Guide children who may not understand the concept to label the pictures. Also any children that may act up move them to the front of the class, and make sure to include them by asking questions. 9.
