His mother called Aonghus the Young because she believed he was conceived and born in a day. o He helped Diarmaid and Grainne escape pursuing Fianna in the Fenian Cycle. o In one legend he tricked the Daghdha to obtain Newgrange. He asked to possess it for one day and night; the Daghdha agreed. When Daghdha returned to claim it Aonghus argued that it is in days and nights that the world is spent, and therefore he could keep it for eternity. o In the Aisling Aengusa (Dream/vision of Aonghus) he dreams of a girl and falls in love with her. He meets her later at the Festival of Samhain, he eventually lives with her.
