Brief History
Fibonacci Leonardo was an Italian mathematician who helped introduce the Hindu-Arabic numerals into Western Europe. He also originates a special series of numbers, Fibonacci sequence or Fibonacci number. His real name was Leonardo Pisano Bogollo. He was born in Pisa, Italy. He sometimes known as Leonardo of Pisa. He traveled in Middle East to learned Hindu-Arabic numeral. In 1202, He completed Liber Arabic (Book of the Abacus). The title of Liber Abaci means "The Book of Calculation".

Liber Abaci was among the first Western books to describe Arabic numerals. By addressing the applications of both commercial tradesmen and mathematicians, it contributed to convincing the public of the superiority of the new numerals.

Fibonacci Sequence
The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ... The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it.

The 2 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+1) Similarly, the 3 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+2), And the 5 is (2+3), And so on

The Rule
First, the terms are numbered from 0 onwards like this:

So term number 6 is called x6 (which equals 8).

Example: the 8th term is the 7th term plus the 6th term:

x8 = x7 + x6

So we can write the rule:

The Rule is xn = xn-1 + xn-2


Where

xn is term number "n" xn-1 is the previous term (n-1) xn-2 is the term before that (n-2)

Example: So Term X10 = X10-1 + X10-2 = X9 + X8 = 34 + 21 = 55
