I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Ms. Megan Loveless. Megan and I have worked together this school year at Escalante Elementary where she has completed her student teaching assignment in the sixth grade with Dr. Scott Smith. In this assignment, Megan has shown great initiative in enhancing her skills for dealing with behavioral situations, developing academic standards, building positive relationships with the students, gaining knowledge of the curriculum, and supervising a classroom. I am sure that the students have made progress during her time here as a student teacher. She has effectively employed the curriculum, implemented classroom management strategies in order to facilitate learning, and shown her ability to be creative in her instruction. She has been a great asset to our school. During a classroom observation, I witnessed Megan take charge of the learning environment, engage students and provide clear expectations and recognition for those that are demonstrating appropriate behaviors as well as correction for those that are developing behavioral skills. I was impressed with Megan's positive attitude, student-centeredness, and desire to work with school staff to ensure a constructive learning environment for all students. Megan has been an adept member of our school team. She has been responsible and reliable in completing all duties and she has taken the initiative to put into action suggested instructional and behavioral strategies related to supporting students. She has been willing to go the extra mile to develop very positive relationships with the students which has been especially apparent in difficult situations. Megan always projects a calm, competent demeanor, and she is not easily flustered. As an educator, Ms. Loveless has always been professional, informed, and extremely dedicated to both her teaching and to our school. She has cared for all students and held the highest expectations for herself. I have no hesitation in recommending Ms. Loveless for a teaching position. I enjoyed working with her and I believe she will be an excellent teacher.
