    The first verse of this experimental poem may seem to imply intent, which is not generally true of evolution of life in its true sense - I have simply used poetic licence. However, humanity now genetically engineers life forms, conducts selective breeding, and intentionally modifies the environment to select for certain life forms, thereby strongly affecting the course of evolution. Humanity's unintentional affect on the planet is perhaps greater - leading to mass extinctions. The repetitive elements between verses are intentional. The first verse is a 5-7-5 haiku, the second a tanka, and the final, a cinquain.
