Rolex SA and its subsidiary Montres Tudor SA design, manufacture, distribute and service high-quality wristwatches sold under the Rolex and Tudor brands. Founded by Hans Wildorf and Alfred Davis in London, England in 1905 as Wilsdorf and Davis, Rolex moved its base of operations to Geneva, Switzerland in 1919

The exclusive right granted to a patentee in most countries is the right to prevent others from making, using, selling, or distributing the patented invention without permission

The Rolex Watch Design Patent

This design patent is owned by Rolex, a Swiss Watch Manufacturer known for their highquality and luxury wrist watches. With prices ranging from about $2,000 at cheapest, to $350,000, Rolex brings new meaning to the word luxury. Though its design is not incredibly different than many other watches, it is unique and distinct to the Rolex name - an incredibly valuable property. As a result, this patent was acquired to protect this watch's image, which in some cases is worth up to $350,000.
