EXPLICATION QUAESTIONIS FAMOSAE ILLIUS, utrum ex metallis ignobilibus aurum verum et naturale arte conflagri possit.
La nuova impaginazione consiste di pp. 143 più un indice di pp. 37 e porta il titolo più breve: De metallis.
Lenglet-Dufresnoy (op. cit., III, 156) scrive: ‘Cet Auteur est un ennemi de la Pierre Philosophale et à été sçavament réfuté par Gaston le Doux, dit de Claves’. E il Duveen: ‘Erastus' real name was Thomas Lieber and he was Professor of Medicine at the Basle University and a declared enemy of Alchemy. His writings are expecially directed against Paracelsus’ “.
