We modified this vertical guide for the vacuum pallet assembly by drilling it and ntroducing a mechanical/electronic LIMIT SWITCH . The limit switch would activate an LARM SIGNAL that registered at several locations: locally and at the DCS Operations ontrol Room. he Alarm signal would also be RECORDED in order to give all operations personnel the nowledge that a vacuum condition had been created in the protected tank and, as a esult, atmospheric air (to some degree) was now present in the vapor space of the torage tank.
