WELCOME, To the Third Annual SouthSide
Memorial Day Tournament. Best Speed
Baseball Academy is happy to have you be
a part of this groundbreaking tournament for
your players, coaches and parents to take
part in. We as an organization are excited to
have you participate in the tournament that will
beneft our kids for the rest of the season. In
this mini packet you will fnd the Tournament
pools, Advancement into the Semi`s, Rules
and Regulations. Again I want to say thank
you for your commitment to helping our
players get more tournament experience and
for us coaches the same!!!
U-10

U16 and under Open
Games will be played on Saturday, Sunday.
With Consolation 3rd place game and the
Championship game to be played on Monday.
Please see page 4 in the mini packet for times
and what feld you will be playing at.
Rules and Pool Play
Pool Play is set for groups A and B (4 teams in
each pool)
Points system is in place while in pool play
and it goes as is:
3 Pts Win
1 Pts. Tie
0 Pts. Loss
The top Two teams in each pool will advance
to the Semifnal Round on Sunday. Tie
Breakers after pool play has ended will be
handled in order:
1st Runs Scored (total for all pool play games)
..if still tied
2nd Hits (total for all pool play games) ..if still
tied
3rd Errors (total for all pool play games)
30 MINS PRIOR TO GAMES EACH TEAM
WILL PARTICIPATE IN A COIN FLIP WITH THE
TOURNAMENT STAFF. (Either Kelli Avila, Alec
Smith or Von Nichols will administer the coin fip)
Time limits:
No new inning after the 1 hr and 55 minute time
marker
15 Runs after 3, 10 Run rule after 4th and 8 runs
there after
COURTESY RUNNER IS ALLOWED EVERY
INNING (NOTE: especially with catchers, we are
trying to keep the games moving at a great pace
of play)
No infeld/ outfeld before games. POOL 'A Blue
Division
Special Rules:
PITCHER CAN NOT GO MORE THAN 10
INNINGS IN THE TOURNAMENT (PLEASE
TRACK THIS AND BEFORE EACH GAME
REPORT TO THE SCORES TABLE WHO HAS
PITCHED AND THE INNINGS THEY HAVE
GONE)
There is no re-entry of pitcher in the same game. (
please remember this )
50`/70` feld dimensions. U-12 and Under
60`/90` Field Dimensions for U-13/U14 Open
Division
There are no bat restriction ( Big Barrel Bats are
OK )accept for bats have to be legal with USSSA,
LL Stamps and/or Wooden bats
THERE IS NO MINIUM PLAYING TIME, you as
coaches decide playing time.

You CAN SUBSTITUTE DURING INNINGS.
