1. Introduction
JamieDoironConsultingcreatedthisresponsetotherequestforproposalbyFar WestLaboratoriesfortheevaluationoftheDeterminingInstructionalPurposes(DIP) trainingprogram.ThisresponsewillcontainadescriptionoftheprogramasJamieDoiron Consultingunderstandsit,detailsregardingoursuggestedevaluationmethod,aschedule anddescriptionoftasks,informationaboutourpersonnelsbackgroundsand qualifications,andadetailedbreakdownofourbudget.
3. Evaluation Method
Thepurposeofourevaluationisthreefold.Firstly,wewillprovideinformationand recommendationsaboutamarketingandsaleoftheunitsandtheDIPtrainingprogramas awhole.Secondly,aspartofthemarketingstrategy,wewillrecommendwaystoeducate schooladministratorsaboutthebenefitsanduseoftheunitsaswellasthebestwayto purchasethembasedontheirneeds.Lastly,theoverarchinggoalofourevaluationisto provideFarWestLaboratorywithrecommendationsastothefutureoftheDIPtraining program.Wewilldetermineiftheprogramisworthyofinvestmentgoingforwardinits currentstateandproviderecommendationsforhowtoproceed.Asaresultofour evaluation,FarWestLaboratorywillbeabletomakeaneducateddecisionaboutwhether toinvestintheDIPtrainingprogramand,shouldtheydecidetoinvest,howbesttomarket andselltheirunitstoschooladministrators. DuetothestrategicnatureoftheDIPtrainingprogramtoFarWestLaboratorys futurebusinessgrowth,theinformationresultingfromourevaluationwillbeprovidedtoFar WestLaboratorysseniorleadershipteam,evaluationcoordinationteam,andtheDIP trainingprogramsmarketingandmanagementstaff.OncetheinformationisinFarWest Laboratoryspossession,theymaydisseminateitastheyseefit.
Toproperlyandthoroughlyperformourevaluation,wewillrequireaccesstoa varietyofinformation.Firstly,sothatwemaymakemarketingandsalerecommendations, weneedtogatherinformationabouthowFarWestLaboratoryiscurrentlyplanningtosell thispackageandhowtheymarketandsellother,similarpackages(ifapplicable).This informationmaybeprovidedinprintorelectronicform,butwewillalsoneedtointerview marketingandsalesmanagerssothatanyquestionswehavecanbeclarified.This informationincludesandstrategicmarketingplansandcurrentlistsofdistributorsoronline saleswebsites.WewillrequireafullunderstandingofhowFarWestLaboratorycurrently marketsandsellsallrelatedproductssothatwecanmakerecommendationsabouthow theDIPtrainingprogramwouldfitin,ornot,withthatstrategy. Secondly,wewillreviewallcurrentmarketingandsalesinformation,flyers, pamphlets,websitesandothermaterialalreadycreatedfortheDIPtrainingprogram.We willneedtomeetwithFarWestLaboratoryseducationaladministratorliaisonto determinehowtheyhavemarketedothereducationaltrainingmaterialstoschool administratorsinthepastandwhat,ifany,relationshipstheyhavewithadministrators, unions,oradministratorprofessionalassociations.Additionally,tobettergauge administratorreactiontothemarketingmaterials,wewillsurveyandmeetwithschool administratorsatelementary,middle,andsecondarylevelsbothinsideandoutsideofFar WestLaboratorystargetmarkettodiscusstheirinterestinandreactiontotheunitsasthey stand.Thiswillincludeapilotprogramwithteachersandadministratorsattheelementary, middle,andsecondarylevels. Lastly,tomakeoverallrecommendationsaboutthefutureoftheDIPtraining program,wewillperformextensivemarketresearchonyourcompetitors,theirprices, marketingstrategies,andformatsoftheireducationalmaterials.Wewillalsoresearchyour targetmarketandotheropportunitiesthatwemayseeofthesematerials.Thisinformation willallowustomakerecommendationsaboutwhethertoinvestinthemarketingandsale oftheDIPtrainingprogramandwhat,ifany,improvementscouldbemadetoincrease competitivenessanddifferentiateFarWestLaboratoryfromcompetitors. BasedonourpreliminaryplanandunderstandingoftheDIPtraningprogram,we plantousethedecisionmakingmodelforourevaluation.JamieDoironConsultinghas performedmanysimilarevaluationsinour20yearhistory,andthisparticularmodelhas provedtobethemostusefulbecauseitallowsforbothqualitativeandquantitative researchmethodsandisfocusedondecisionbasedsituations,suchaswhetherornotto continuetoinvestintheDIPtrainingprogram.

Analyzedatafrommarketresearchandpilotprogram.Sharepreliminary findingswithFWL. Preparefinalevaluationreportandrecommendations. PresentevaluationreporttoFWL. MakedecisionsregardinghowtoproceedwithDIPtrainingprogram.
