Volunteer Experience
Since high school I knew that I wanted to become a teacher. I wanted to help minori ty students to over come some of the endless struggles that they face each and every day. Every time I volunteer, I can relate to all of the students. I can picture myself years ago when I was their age and was in need of role models and teachers to help me with my education. Relevant Skills:
Even though, I have worked mainly in restaurants, I have gained plenty of experience in childhood education by volunteering at different schools within the Salt Lake school District and by the classes that I have taken this past tree years at the University of Utah. I have also obtained plenty of experience as a teacher assistant at Holy Cross. I have used my education and my volunteer experience in the school readiness program. I have created lesson plans and I have had the opportunity of leading the class.
