Inner Productivity Intensive Workshop with Chris Edgar and Rosy Moon

I wanted to let you both know how much I enjoyed the workshop. It was a great experience I learned a lot and actually enjoyed most of it! It may be the best single day workshop I have attended in my professional career. Aidan C., San Francisco, California

Are You Fully Giving Your Gifts To The World?

Theres no doubt that youve got a lot to offer. Youre not just smart and creative you genuinely care about people, and you have a unique vision for manifesting that creativity and caring in the world. So why isnt it happening? Why, when you sit down to bring that grand vision to life, do you find yourself wasting time on e-mail and social media? Why do you keep choosing to do minor chores, instead of work that really matters? Why do you keep arriving at the end of the workday and realizing, to your dismay, that nothing important got done? I think weve all asked ourselves these questions at some point, and the answer often seems maddeningly unclear. What is clear, however, is that the usual organization and time management literature doesnt shed much light on it. Some people recommend making yourself just do it but, as I think youve experienced, trying to force yourself to work usually just creates more resistance inside. Others offer neat tricks and hacks for organizing your e-mail, color-coding your folders, and so on. But as I think you also know, those tricks are useless if you arent focused and motivated enough to put them into practice.

What This Workshop Offers You

Since youre here, you probably know that I wrote a book called Inner Productivity: A Mindful Path to Efficiency and Enjoyment in Your Work. Inner Productivity, which Getting Things Done author David Allen calls a great read and a useful guidebook for turning the daily grind into something much more interesting and engaging, is all about learning to allow rather than resist the thoughts and sensations that disrupt our focus. In this full-day workshop, we put the books ideas and techniques into practice. Youll come out of the workshop with an increased ability to focus on your work, a stronger sense of mission, and a deepseated knowledge that youve got what it takes to face the challenges that come up in what you do. Ill be joined by yoga instructor and course leader Rosy Moon Schlussel. Basing our approach on meditation, yoga and other mindfulness practices that have improved peoples lives for thousands of years, well help you notice, and transform, the patterns of thinking and behavior keeping you from contributing to the world in the way you know is possible. This workshop is unlike any other seminar on organization or time management. Ive designed the course to be small limited to ten people to make sure each person gets the individual attention they need, and the breakthrough they want. This wont be a lecture youll be diving right into exercises that make you aware of the places where youre limiting yourself.

Id recommend this workshop to people who are ready to take a deep look at whats really holding them back in their work. If thats what youre interested in, this course will radically change the way you think about and relate to what you do.

About Chris Edgar

Chris began his career as a corporate lawyer. He got involved in mindfulness practices like meditation, yoga, qi gong and tai chi when looking for techniques to help him let go of the stress of his job. At first, he thought he could only do these practices on his own time at home. But as Chris got deeper into these practices, he realized there were forms of meditation, movement, breathing and so on he could do in real time, without even leaving his desk, whenever he wanted more focus and motivation.

Inspired to teach these methods to stressed-out professionals, Chris received training in transformational coaching, mindfulness meditation, hypnotherapy, and other modalities. He began working with people one-on-one, and speaking to groups, about how to adapt spiritual practices to our working lives. Chris also wrote the acclaimed book Inner Productivity: A Mindful Path to Efficiency and Enjoyment in Your Work, which Getting Things Done author David Allen calls a great read and a useful guidebook for turning the daily grind into something much more interesting and engaging. Chris received his B.A. from Haverford College, and his law degree from Stanford University School of Law. Chriss articles have appeared in, among other publications, Balance, Balanced Living, EdgeLife, LivingNow, Mystic Pop, New Age Journal, New Renaissance, Self-Improvement, WellBeing and Wisdom.
