Allow 20 minutes for them to work on pre-test. Remind them to do the best they can on it. Once done with 20 min or see that every one is quit working. Discuss data (bi and uni, parameter and statistics. Finish discussing data if did not finish yesterday after pre-test. Then have them create a foldable(which ever you like-hope to use on naming, adding, subtracting, and multiplying) on naming polynomials while going through ppt. Only go through naming by terms today (slide 110). Be sure to discuss voc constantly (coefficient, constant, term and standard form).

Make Procedures/Activities: sure to stress when asked to name a polynomial that have to name by terms AND degree. Focus/Bell Work: See attached sheet Assessment: Notes Can review with adding/subtracting ppt (naming is first few slides). Allow them about Procedures/Activities: 10 minutes to finish naming wkst. Then switch with a partner and grade in class. If time allows then finish ppt on adding and subtracting by taking notes in foldable. Finish discussing adding and subtracting ppt if didnt on Thursday. Allow them plenty of class time to work on wkst either with a partner or alone. Add to the direction to name each also.

Focus/Bell Work: See attached sheet Assessment: Multiplying Polynomials ppt Procedures/Activities:
You will go over the PowerPoint in the attachment. Make sure to cover all three methods; FOIL, distributive, and the box method. Have them start a foldable while going over the methods to put in their math notebooks.

Go over a few basic problems and Procedures/Activities: examples of perimeter and area. Then add in polynomials. Go over some problems in the worksheet and give them the last 20 minutes to finish the worksheet.
