Steps involved from concept to commissioning of a power plant:

1) Constitution of board of Directors and subsequent presentation of investment plans by them to State Investment promotion Board(SIPB). 2) After approval from SIPB engagement with State Government for MoU. 3) Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Govt. and then finalistion of project site. Post finalization visiting of bankers. 4) Appointment of a technical consultant to prepare a pre feasibility report (PFR). 5) Preparation of Pre feasibility report and subsequent submission of PFR and copy of MoU to CEA. 6) CEA sends recommendation letter to Ministry of Coal for Coal allocation and linkages.
