One of my favorite cultures that I enjoy being a round and researching is the Jamaican culture. The Jamaica culture has many characterstics that other cultures see and being not moral. Most peoples reaction to the Jamaican culture is that the people with in are wild. Therefore is it expected that Jamaicans means of developing names for their family should also be bazaar. Traditional Jamaicans have an American first name. Actually many Jamaicans have names like Samantha. One interesting thing that I found was a boy name. The name was Alizibeth. This name looks a lot like Elizabeth the American name. Usually if Jamaicans have any Jamaican names they are their middle and last name. The parents pick the middle name. This name could very well be a name that has been passed down. This can also be the case for the first name. Their last name is their family name. All family ties can be shown through the connection of Jamaican last name. Just as Americans, there are a great number of Americans that actually have Jamaican last names that show Jamaican ties. There are actually not many differences better the way Jamaicans use and develop their names and the way that Americans do. They both have a fist, middle, and last name. Where the last name is the family name and is used for identification purposes. These last names and also the easiest way to show family ties over time.

Pridgen 2 Some common Jamaican names include Denzel, Adam, Kyle, Brooke, Rachel and Olivia. These names as stated about and also common American names. There are a few that may seem abnormal to Americans such as Kojo, Liam, Hasan, Rasheba, Tralena, and Zola. Jamaica is an English-speaking nation contrary to belief. Jamaican Creole is only used in informal setting and entertainment.
