How to draw FBDs


Isolate system from all outside influences Remove from environment (cuts) Draw body forces (weight, magnetic force) If linear motion is restricted/caused, draw a FORCE If rotation is restricted/caused, draw a MOMENT Use ACTION-REACTION for interacting bodies DO NOT draw internal forces/moments, velocities, accelerations
